Counseling for grief, loss, depression, anxiety, stress, relationships, and more; changing your experience of life.
No one likes to be uncomfortable. What prompts most people to seek counseling is some sort of discomfort.
It may be chronic physical pain, or emotional pain from loss, trauma, abuse, relationship struggles, stress, anxiety, depression, anger, loneliness, feelings of guilt or shame, unhealthy habits or addictions, burnout, or feeling overwhelmed.
The discomfort may come from unwanted or unexpected changes in your life, or a transition to a new phase of life. It may come from a desire for change, a feeling of dissatisfaction with the way things are, a longing for more. Those are just a few, it could be any number of other things.
The work that I do ranges from problem solving and practical solutions, to deep and profound emotional healing, depending on what you want and need. We figure that out together, and move at your pace.
The therapeutic relationship is like no other relationship, its foundation is trust and confidentiality. It is an atmosphere of warm, non-judgmental acceptance and caring, combined with intuition, insight, and many years of experience offering wisdom and strategies tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
Time does not always heal emotional wounds. Healing comes from authentic connection; being fully heard and understood, genuinely accepted and valued and guided to the next step or foothold on your own unique path.
We are all a work in progress.
As Viktor Frankl wisely said, “the ‘unfinished’ are among the most beautiful symphonies.”
